I’m able to deliver all of these in-person or online. If you’re interested in booking me to for your group, community or organisation, do get in touch.
Finding Focus
A gentle 60- or 90-minute workshop about goal-setting (and why I think that’s often a recipe for stress and misery), intentions, and building sustainable new habits and routines for the year ahead.
I deliver this most often in January, but also in April for the start of the financial year, and in September for the start of the academic year. Or any other milestone where it’s time to refocus, to plan and to start making changes.
How To Charge What You’re Worth
Many creatives struggle to find the right price point for their work or their services. This workshop offers different ways of thinking about your value, setting your prices – and raising them gracefully.
In this 90-minute workshop, we explore questions such as:
- Are there ever times when you should work for free?
- How do you add value so that clients are clamouring to buy your premium packages?
- How and when is it time to raise your fees?
- And what if your audience/clients/fans can’t afford it?
Build Multiple Income Streams
In a time of constant disruption across the creative industries, one of the best ways to build security is by creating multiple income streams. Then if one source dries up, you still have the rest. If one key client stops using you, you still have the others.
It’s also about moving away from always exchanging time for money, automating and setting up systems, and making the most of your existing assets – including your work.
This 90-minute workshop examines a variety of ways of making more money from what you make and do.
Survival Skills for Freelance Creatives
I’ve delivered versions of this two-hour workshop to freelance photographers, self-employed makers, to groups of writers and mixed groups of creatives.
In it, I list the ten key skills I think all freelance/self-employed creatives need, to move from just surviving to thriving.
From building your network to building an audience for your work, from working sustainably to staying inspired, we cover ten foundations you need to build a creative business – and pay the bills!
